One system for governance, risk, compliance, controls, audit, access reviews and awareness — with the evidence trail already attached. SecureGRC replaces the spreadsheets, shared drives and mailboxes that most GRC programmes actually run on with a single system where work has an owner, a due date and an audit trail.

3 itemsWhat SecureGRC is
SecureGRC came out of consulting work. Every engagement ended the same way: a well-designed framework handed to a team with no system to run it in, and a slow return to spreadsheets within a year.
The platform holds the parts of a GRC programme that decay first — ownership, cadence, evidence and follow-up. Frameworks become obligations with owners. Obligations map to a canonical control set. Controls produce evidence as they are operated. Findings become tracked actions. Everything a governance committee asks for is derived from those records rather than assembled for the meeting.
Chief Information Security Officers
A single view of control coverage, open findings and risk against appetite — without three teams preparing it.
Heads of Risk
A register the business actually contributes to, with treatment plans that have owners and visible progress.
Compliance Managers
Obligations, evidence and non-conformities in one place, and one control set serving every framework.
Internal Audit Leads
Universe, plan, fieldwork, findings and follow-up as connected records with workpapers available on demand.
Data Protection & Privacy Leads
Privacy obligations tracked as controls with evidence, and policy attestation recorded per person.
IT & Security Operations
Asset and incident records connected to the risks and controls they affect, instead of a parallel universe.
The problem
These are the failure modes SecureGRC was built to remove. They are structural, not a matter of trying harder.
The same control implemented and tested separately for every standard, multiplying effort with each new framework adopted.
Approvals in email, evidence in shared drives, decisions in meeting notes — reassembled by hand before every audit.
Risks, findings, incidents and obligations tracked in separate places, so nobody can see the whole exposure at once.
Documents published once, with no traceable review, approval or acknowledgement to show they are current and understood.
Access certification handled as a periodic side exercise, disconnected from the risks and controls it is meant to support.
Findings and actions agreed in a report, then untracked until the next audit rediscovers them still open.
How it works
Five stages, in the order they have to happen. Skipping the first is why platform rollouts stall.
Organisational structure, governance committees, authorities and responsibilities, roles and permissions. The platform starts by knowing who is accountable for what.
Adopt frameworks from the catalog, normalise their requirements, and map them to a canonical control library so one control serves many standards.
Owners work their assigned obligations, control tests, risk treatments, reviews and training from a workspace that shows what is theirs and what is due.
Internal audit and control testing produce findings; non-conformities and corrective actions are tracked to verified closure, not to agreement.
Dashboards and KPI/KRI monitoring produce the governance pack from live records — risk against appetite, control coverage, open findings, overdue actions.
Capabilities
Thirteen capability groups covering the full operating model. Each links to the detail — the business problem, what the platform does, and the workflow it supports end to end.
Spotlight · Unified Control Framework
Requirements from every adopted and catalogued framework are normalised into a single catalog, then mapped to a canonical control library. Each mapping records who approved it and on what basis, so the decision remains auditable when a standard is revised.
Canonical control
Access to production systems is restricted, approved and reviewed

Built for production
Multi-tenant, permissioned to the action, and operable from day one
Tenant isolation enforced at both the token and data layer, action-level permissions across four data scopes, background automation that pursues outstanding work, and health and metrics endpoints for the teams responsible for running it.
Spotlight · Risk
Anyone can report a risk through the intake queue. The risk function triages it, scores it against your configured matrix, and assigns an owner who agrees the treatment plan. Risks breaching appetite escalate for formal acceptance — recorded, with a rationale and a review date.

AI assistance
SecureGRC includes assistive AI in the places where analysts spend time on mechanical work — reading requirements, finding candidate control mappings, spotting duplication. It is assistive by design: a proposed action must be explicitly approved by a person before it executes, and every AI-generated mapping is reviewable with its rationale and confidence attached.
Parses supplied framework text into candidate requirements for review, instead of manual transcription into the requirement catalog.
Recommends control-to-requirement mappings with a stated rationale and confidence, which a compliance manager accepts, amends or rejects.
Identifies uncovered requirements, duplicated controls and downstream impact across the control set.
A session-based assistant that answers natural-language questions over your GRC records and can propose actions — which remain inert until a person approves and executes them.
Platform
The things that decide whether a GRC platform survives its second year: isolation, permissions, automation and operability.
Tenant isolation is enforced at both token and data level — JWT tenant claims plus company scoping applied in the service layer, not left to query discipline.
Action-level rights per module, users holding multiple roles with union permissions, and four data scopes so a department head sees their department and a control owner sees their controls.
Background jobs drive recurrence, reminders and escalation across access reviews, training campaigns and compliance tasks. Notifications are delivered in realtime.
Documents stored on local or object storage — AWS S3, S3-compatible, Google Cloud Storage or OCI — with secure API-controlled preview rather than raw storage URLs.
Directory and SSO configuration, a SCIM endpoint, governed integration API keys and outbound webhooks, so SecureGRC fits your identity and automation estate.
Health and readiness endpoints, Prometheus metrics via OpenTelemetry, structured logging and containerised deployment — the things that matter after go-live.
SecureGRC questions
Including the ones where the honest answer is “not yet”.

Evaluate it against your programme
Bring the frameworks you are required to satisfy and the reporting your board expects. We will show how a single set of records produces both — and state plainly where SecureGRC does not extend.
